Baucar Buku 1Malaysia (RM50 per piece, awarded RM200 in total for each student)
In every different bookstore, we can see students of different ages lining up buying books with these vouchers. In certain circumstances, some store managers will be there to 'assist' on how to use the Baucar Buku 1Malaysia properly in accordance to the store's policy. As said, every store's policy differ.
It is not that the cash registering machine will not allow checkout of any item we buy with the Baucar Buku 1Malaysia, but it's the rules by the store manager, following the policy.
For this case as experienced in Kinokuniya Malaysia this evening (16 January 2012), The Baucar Buku 1Malaysia can be used to buy books and other statinoneries. However, the policy stated by the store manager is that we have to buy books worth at least at the price at par with the stationeries.
For example, we are eligible to buy stationeries up to RM50 if we are purchasing books or magazines worth RM50.
Other bookstores may have different policies for the use of Baucar Buku 1Malaysia. So called 1Malaysia Book Voucher~
Of course, purchases exceeding RM200 of the Baucar Buku 1Malaysia is possible by topping up with our own cash. Remember to calculate before paying, else the long queue will be a waste of your time. Also to highlight, any purchase below RM50 for one voucher of Baucar Buku 1Malaysia will not be refunded with any cash or sorts like that.
Some questions in my head:
> Why secondary school students get RM100 cash while students pursuing tertiary education are stuck with RM200 book voucher in the sense of Baucar Buku 1Malaysia?
- Isn't cash more flexible to use? Maybe the government wants some boosts in the book printing industries?
Hope you guys enjoy the spending the Baucar Buku 1Malaysia on materials that will help you all out!
